Download PathMRI

One self-contained application. Nothing needs to be installed on the machines you test — the agent is uploaded when it is needed and removed when it is done, or never used at all if you run agentless.

The packages are not published yet. The five below are built and tested; the download links appear on this page with the first release. Everything else you can read about PathMRI is real today — this is the last piece.

Packages

Every package contains the console, the web UI and the cross-compiled agent binaries. No runtime to install — the .NET runtime is bundled.

PlatformFileWhat it is
Windows
x64
PathMRI-Setup-win-x64.exe Installer — installs to Program Files, adds Start-Menu and desktop shortcuts, and an uninstaller. Recommended.
Windows
x64, portable
PathMRI-win-x64-portable.zip Unzip and run Start PathMRI.cmd. Nothing is written outside the folder and your data directory. No administrator rights needed.
Linux
x64
PathMRI-linux-x64.tar.gz Published app plus a pathmri.sh launcher, a pathmri.service systemd unit and a desktop entry.
macOS
Intel
PathMRI-osx-x64.tar.gz Published app plus pathmri.command, which clears the Gatekeeper quarantine flag — the binaries are unsigned.
macOS
Apple Silicon
PathMRI-osx-arm64.tar.gz The same, built for arm64.
Getting the files. Each package is self-contained: unpack it, start it, and the console opens in your browser. Nothing to sign up for and no licence server to reach.

After you install

Step one

Start it

Launch PathMRI. The console starts and opens in your browser at http://localhost:5180. If that port is busy it moves to the next free one.

Step two

First run seeds admin / admin and forces a change before anything else works — the server refuses every other call until it is done.

Step three

Add a host

Add hosts by hand, paste a list, import a CSV, sweep a network range, or import from Active Directory. Then run your first verification.

What it needs

The machine running the console

Windows, Linux or macOS. Nothing to install alongside it — the runtime is bundled and the data lives in your user profile.

The hosts you test

Nothing, if you use the agent — it is uploaded, runs, and removes itself. For agentless mode: SSH on Linux, or WinRM on Windows.

Firewalls and clouds

Read-only credentials for the devices you want evaluated: an API token, a management API user, or SSH. Cloud reads use the AWS, Azure or gcloud CLI.

Kubernetes

SSH to a node, with kubectl, crictl, jq, ss and dig present. Or a kubeconfig context on the console machine for inventory only.

Nothing to configure before you can look. Unpack it, start it, and the console opens on localhost:5180 with the Fix-it Guide and the API reference already inside it.
